For those in a season of expansion, there is the joy of finally inhabiting a space that matches the scale and ambition of one’s current life. However, other transitions require a more delicate "redirection"—the quiet, often difficult task of editing a residence by deciding which collections are gifted, which remain, and which are released to make room for a new chapter.

Inevitably, every move enters the "messy middle," a period of the "mist" where structural surprises and decision fatigue can cloud the vision of the future. The objective is not simply to finish the house, but to navigate the transition with enough intentionality that you still recognize yourself when you finally walk through the front door.

"I compare human life to a large Mansion of Many Apartments... we no sooner get into the second, but we are in a mist—but we see the light." — John Keats
