The Romance of the Deadline: A Strategy of Vast Acceptance
The Romance of the Deadline: A Strategy of Vast Acceptance

When did we trade the romance of life for the grit of a task list? In our youth, we knew that "busy" was just what people did when they weren't in love with life anymore. It’s time to bring that frequency back to the boardroom.

Take a few minutes to sit quietly and bring up your best "romance"—whether it’s a person, a place traveled, or the first look someone gave you letting you know that to them, you rock. Why not bring this same elated feeling of freedom into the endless busy schedule? As years go by, we often displace romance for "tackling the day." But there is a 50/50 chance that filtering more joy into how we work out deadlines could transmute the lower vibration of "pushing" into the high-level strategy of vast acceptance.
